API: the driving force behind
smart integrations

MplusKASSA has an extensive API that allows other parties to integrate with the POS system and exchange data in all kinds of useful ways, without requiring any changes to the POS software.

An API is an agreed standard that allows different computer programs to communicate with each other. For example, the MplusKASSA API can be used to create an integration between:

• The POS system and an online store.
• The POS system and a smartphone ordering application.
• The POS system and a reporting program.

In addition to the “traditional” API based on the SOAP protocol, we also offer a Webhooks API. Webhooks make it possible to receive real-time information from the POS system and respond to it immediately. For example, this can be used to:

• Activate a gate immediately when a ticket is sold.
• Check your own database immediately when a barcode is scanned and, if necessary, load customer details or apply a discount rule.

To integrate with our POS software via the API or Webhooks, you will need a software developer who can build your desired integration. Your software developer can register as a Partner to gain access to the API and a development version of the POS system. Processing this application may take several business days, and we will assess the application to determine whether the developer will be admitted to the Partner Program.
